Some pressure switch applications

A pressure switch is basically a kind of switch mechanism which is specially designed to start an electrical connection when a specific amount of pressure is placed on the switch. Different types of pressure switches are available in the market. All these types are classified under two particular categories known as hydraulic and pneumatic. Pressure switches are generally used in machinery, different appliances, pools and in other applications.

For charging different types of batteries, you can use pneumatic pressure switches. The role of pressure switch is to assist in regulating the rate of charge. Thus, they prevent the battery from receiving huge amount of current.

On the other hand, hydraulic pressure switches are also used in different ways. They are widely found on trucks and cars. Hydraulic pressure switches activate the warning light in case the oil pressure in the automobile drops below the stipulated level. Hydraulic pressure switches are also built into the brake system. They activate the brake lights if the pressure increases because of the driver depressing the brake. Pressure switches enable a person to activate and shut down air conditioning and air filtration systems according to the presence of different levels of pressure.

Pressure switches are also found in pool systems. They play an important role in regulating the temperature of the water. This enables pool users to enjoy pleasant temperatures in the summer months and a heated pool during the winter season. Pressure switches are available in a range of designs and sizes and these switches are quite safe to use.
